To accomplish great things, we must not only
act, but also dream, not only plan, but also believe.

do you love rhinos?

I do!  And I ran the 2014 London Marathon to help save them.  Click below to learn more!

In the meantime, I've decided to run a half marathon in every state (and possibly a marathon on every continent) in my lifetime.  I'll keep y'all updated here.

I currently have a recurring donation set up with WWF, but am exploring options for a donation/goal for each race.

More Information

i there!  my name is Sean Ramsdell.  I am a senior animal care specialist.  and I am a runner.

in high school, i was in the marching band (heavy exercise!), played soccer and ran indoor & outdoor track.  then i went to college and committed all my focus to academics (i.e. became lazy).

i devoted time after college to nurturing my career - completing internships at fossil rim wildlife center in glen rose, texas, big cat rescue in tampa, florida and the great plains zoo in sioux falls, south dakota.

After gaining zookeeping experience at the houston zoo, i moved back to the east coast - to tampa
and currently work with black rhinoceros, white rhinoceros and several bird species.

i started running again in march 2012 using the couch to 5k program and lost about 25 pounds.

i ran my first half marathon in february 2013 and I ran my first marathon in april 2014.

I decided to continue running with a new goal.
I am going to run a half marathon in every state over my lifetime.
As of today, I've completed a half marathon in 12 states...and I'm still going...

This is my account of how I got there and where I'm going.
